Buddhism is not a religion of elite of any kind, not even of spiritual elite; it doesn’t speak only for a category of people. It is not discriminative, it does not chose heroes and is not searching for heroes. The reason of the appearance of Buddha in the world is the Enlightenment of all beings, both capable or incapable of difficult practices. He offered methods for all people, for the wisest who can easily retire themselves in monasteries and also for the ignorant and full of blind passions, incapable of destroying the strong chain of attachments of any kind.

On the Nembutsu way we learn how to live here and now in harmony with ourselves and others, as simple persons, together with our illusions and limitations.

All we are is the result of our mind, words and actions, but also of what others (Buddha and the beings around us) planted in us. Nothing exists independently but in relation with the others. In Jodo Shinshu we learn to say “thank you” to the Buddha and all beings.
